OUR MISSION & VALUES

OUR MISSION

To create a thriving family of believers who deeply experience the love and presence of God and partner with Jesus to bring the transforming power of His kingdom to the world

ABOUT NEW BEGINNINGS

We are a Spirit-filled church community for the presence seekers. The broken. The busy families. The outcasts. The creatives.  The lonely prophets. The ambitious entrepreneurs. The hungry evangelists. The seasoned sages. The thinkers and the dreamers. The students and the world changers.

We are a family church focused on encountering God’s goodness together and spreading the culture of the Kingdom of Heaven everywhere we go. We believe God is moving in incredible ways around the world and a new wave of revival is coming. With that focus, we’re excited about gathering together to grow each member of the body of Christ into the full expression of the gifts and calling God has placed inside of them, whether that leads them into ministry or out into the many other spheres of influence God is using to bring light to the world.

OUR VALUES

God is good, and there is no better place to encounter and be changed by His goodness than in His presence. Jesus modeled that our first ministry as believers is to behold and encounter our Father in prayer, to hear His heart, and then reflect that into the world.

  • He delights in us and invites us to come close in prayer, and as we seek His manifest presence, we grow in our love for Him and in our awareness and partnership with what He is saying and doing. 2 Corinthians 3:18; James 4:8; Hebrews 11:6; Hebrews 10:19-22; John 14:10; John 14:17-21, 26

The Bible is the divinely inspired source of infallible truth about God and the world He created.

  • It testifies about Jesus and points us toward connection with Him. It is breathed by His Spirit, and every word He still speaks to His people echoes with the truth of His written word. Hebrews 4:12; John 5:39; Luke 24:45; 2 Timothy 3:16-17

We are new creations, completely freed by the victory of Jesus. We are not merely sinners saved by grace but saints who have been given His righteousness so we can partner with our Father God as we walk in the fruit of His Spirit.

  • As we walk out our identity in Christ we reflect the joy that comes from knowing Jesus and being in His presence. John 15:11; Psalm 16:11; 2 Corinthians 5:17-21; 1 Corinthians 1:30; Romans 3:21-26; Romans 8:1, 30; Galatians 2:19-20; Acts 26; John 17:13; Romans 5:1-5; Romans 15:13

As we grow in Him and heal from old wounds and patterns of life, we create life-giving communities and families that reflect His heart and character.

  • He has set the lonely in families, and called us His sons and daughters. A healthy family is the safest place to take risks, to grow from mistakes, and to discover and be released into your identity. 2 Corinthians 5:17, 6:18; Psalm 68:6; Ephesians 2:19-22; John 1:12-13; Romans 8:15; John 1:12; John 17:20

We look for ways to honor all people and to see them as God sees them.

  • Honor is a key ingredient for growth and promotion in the Kingdom of God, and it requires us to look for the identity God has placed inside of people. Honor requires humility as we learn to receive what God wants to give to us through people who, like us, are still being perfected. 1 Peter 2:17; Romans 12:10; Ephesians 6:2-3; Matthew 10:40-42; 2 Chronicles 20:20

It is God’s joy to bring glory to Jesus and draw people to the truth of the gospel through the miraculous workings of the Holy Spirit.

  • From the beginning, God has been confirming His words, revealing His love, and bringing His kingdom into the world through supernatural signs and wonders. He continues to do so today, both, independently, and through gifts and callings He has given to His people. Matthew 10:8; Matthew 22:29; Matthew 28:18-20; John 14:12 12; Ephesians 1:18-20; John 2:23-25; 1 Corinthians 2:4

Our Father is a king, and he has demonstrated the nature of His kingdom is to give out of His extravagant abundance.

  • We give because He gives, and often a natural result of our joyful obedience in giving is that He can trust us with more. Whether it’s our time, energy, money, talents, or our love, we are called to give out of what we’ve been given to be a blessing to His body and to the world. Luke 6:38; Acts 20:35; 1 Timothy 6:17-19; Proverbs 19:17; 2 Corinthians 9:6; Philippians 4:19; 2 Corinthians 9:11

We celebrate the many diverse and beautiful expressions of worship God has planted in the hearts of His people, and we seek new ways of engaging in and revealing the love and character of God.

  • Our God is exploding with creativity and we seek to love Him with the same extravagance He has shown us. 1 Chronicles 16:23-31; Psalm 75:1; John 4:23-24; 2 Chronicles 20:21

We don’t live with the goal of earning God’s love or forgiveness, but instead we are inspired and changed by the grace of God to pursue Him and His life without limit, bondage, or shame.

  • His word says that it is for freedom that we’ve been set free. The cross fulfilled the purposes of the law, and we now get to live as free sons and daughters, no longer slaves to sin and our old nature. Galatians 4:7; Galatians 5:1; 1 Corinthians 6:12; John 8:36; Ephesians 3:12, Psalm 119:45, Romans 6:22, 1 Peter 2:16

His kingdom is advancing and we can rest in the joy of knowing we are not victims, but victors and overcomers through Jesus. Our hope isn’t based on the status of the world around us, or solely in hope of future glory, but we rejoice in the current work of God in our hearts and around the world. We partner with Him in advancing the kingdom to change hearts, cities, and nations to see “on earth as it is in heaven.”

  • He has called all of us to be witnesses, and as we model and proclaim the goodness of God, we each play a role in planting, watering, or harvesting the seeds of the gospel in the hearts of others and in our spheres of influence. Matthew 6:10; Matthew 5:14-16; Matthew 28:18-20; John 14:6; 1 Peter 3:15; 1 Corinthians 1:17; 2 Corinthians 5:20

WHAT WE BELIEVE

We believe that there is only one true God who is the eternal King, Creator, and Redeemer of all that is. He is perfectly holy, just, loving, and truthful. He has revealed Himself to be eternally self-existent – one being in three persons: God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit.

We believe that the Bible is the inspired and only infallible and authoritative Word of God.

We believe that humankind was created in the image of God to know and enjoy Him, yet we willfully rejected the Lordship and glory of God for which we were intended. Because of this, sickness, death, and judgment entered the world and now creation experiences the effects and consequences of sin.

We believe in the Lord Jesus Christ, the one and only Son of God, who was conceived of the Holy Spirit, born of the virgin Mary, and is God’s Anointed One, empowered by the Holy Spirit to inaugurate God’s kingdom on earth. He was crucified for our sins, died, was buried, resurrected, and ascended into heaven, and is now alive today in the presence of God the Father and in His people. He is “true God” and “true man.”

We believe that we are saved by God’s grace, through faith in the person and work of Jesus Christ. Anyone can be restored to fellowship with God through repenting, believing, and receiving Jesus as their Savior and Lord. The Holy Spirit convicts, regenerates, justifies, sanctifies, and adopts us as we enter the kingdom of God as His sons and daughters.

We believe in the ongoing, sanctifying power of the Holy Spirit by whose indwelling the Christian is enabled to live a holy life and minister super-naturally. The baptism of the Holy Spirit, according to Acts 1:4-8 and 2:4, is poured out on believers that they might have God’s power to be His witnesses.

We believe in the victorious, redemptive work of Christ on the cross which provides freedom from the power of the enemy – sin, lies, sickness, and torment.

We believe that the Church consists of all who put their faith in Jesus Christ. He gave His Church the ordinances of baptism and communion. The Church exists to carry on the ministry of Jesus Christ and further advance His kingdom by undoing the works of the enemy, preaching and living the good news of God’s love, and discipling the nations – baptizing and teaching them to love and obey God.

We believe in the ever-increasing government of God and in the Blessed Hope, which is the glorious, visible return of the Lord Jesus Christ to rule and reign with His overcoming bride – the Church.

We believe that heaven and hell are real places. There will be a resurrection of the lost and the saved, the one to everlasting death and the other to everlasting life.
